The third season of Tell Me Lies is coming soon, and we now know when it will be released. The Hulu series, which started in September 2022, is based on Carola Lovering’s 2018 novel and has become increasingly full of surprises.
The second part of the series delved further into the troubled connection between Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White), while also giving more attention to the rest of the cast, including Catherine Missal, Spencer House, Sonia Mena, Branden Cook, Benjamin Wadsworth, and Alicia Crowder.
I’m so excited! Hulu just announced that season 3 of Tell Me Lies is coming out on January 13th! They shared a sneak peek – a picture of a messed-up cake and empty bottles – which definitely hints at the fallout from that crazy season 2 finale. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
The second season of Tell Me Lies really highlights how manipulative Stephen can be. The show jumps between two time periods: 2008 and 2015, when many of the characters come back together for Evan and Bree’s wedding. Stephen deliberately chooses the wedding day to tell Bree that Evan had a one-night stand with Lucy. The season ends with Bree listening to this shocking news on a recording, while Lucy stands right behind her, unaware of what’s happening.
The next movie will continue a key storyline from previous films and introduce several new characters. Iris Apatow will play Amanda, a cheerful but vulnerable college student with a hidden past. Costa D’Angelo joins the cast as Alex, a psychology student who also deals drugs, and his history with Bree will be revealed—something that’s particularly important given how private Bree has always been about her life.
Tom Ellis, known for his role in Lucifer, will return as Oliver. He shared in August that season 3 of Tell Me Lies was intended to be the show’s last, though Hulu and other cast members haven’t confirmed this. Ellis is married to the series creator and executive producer, Meaghan Oppenheimer.
If Ellis is right about what’s coming in season 3 of Tell Me Lies, the show has a lot of loose ends to resolve. We’ll probably learn more as the new season is promoted over the next few months, but viewers won’t have to wait long to find out what happens after that big cliffhanger.
