A Quest for Stairway to Heaven involves investigating the well-being of an elderly woman, following rumors that her caretaker had ceased voicing concerns to residents. Upon locating Rebecca Baker (just a stone’s throw from the quest initiator), you discover she has sadly already passed away.

Jane, caring for Rebecca, shares that Rebecca passed away a few days ago, but she couldn’t find the words to tell her husband, John. As you study the autopsy report and follow the guiding clue that leads you to John Baker, who is just a short distance below, you come across a decision point.

In other words, you have two options: You could honestly share the truth with him or choose Jane’s suggestion and deceive him instead. Regarding the outcome, it seems that both decisions carry minimal impact since this is merely a secondary mission unrelated to the main storyline.

Through deceit, John Baker persists in using dubious “anti-aging” supplements known as “youth pills,” which he believes can reverse his aging process and enable him to ascend stairs effortlessly. This scenario is considered unfavorable because it fosters false hope in him and encourages him to stick with questionable medication.

Instead of lying to him, choosing honesty could be seen as the “right” option. This is because by being truthful, he’ll discuss his wife and promise to stop taking dubious medication. Regardless of your choice, the outcome of this side mission remains unchanged for both scenarios.
