Joe Giudice is taking a stroll down memory lane.
In a recent reminiscence, a former cast member of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” looked back on their family’s early days in reality TV and disclosed the surprisingly small sum that ex-spouse Teresa Giudice was purportedly paid for the first season of the popular Bravo series.
In their conversation during the August 18th episode of Gia Giudice’s Casual Chaos podcast, Joe mentioned that for an entire year, people wouldn’t stop bothering them, constantly calling every day. After they finally agreed to whatever it was, Joe said it felt like a whirlwind or confusion set in afterward.
Reflecting on the past, Joe estimates that he ended up spending more money on filming the first season (released in 2009) than what Teresa earned during her initial season.
Reflecting on the past, the 53-year-old individual (who shares daughters Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana with the author known as ‘The Skinny Italian’) mentioned that they believe the initial year of hosting that grand party took place in their spacious living room. Furthermore, they estimated that the first year’s cost for that event was approximately $150,000.
Regarding Teresa’s payment for the first season, Joe disclosed that they were compensated no money initially. In fact, he admitted it was around $25,000, which he found absurd. However, he accepted it nonetheless.
24-year-old Gia expressed, “If you’re investing more than what you’re earning from it, it’s clear that you’ll eventually expand and build a reputation for yourself.
Regarding Joe, an Italian national who was deported from the U.S. in 2019 after serving time for fraud, he continues to harbor the hope that he may eventually be able to reunite with his family by returning stateside.
Indeed, Gia has lately implored President Donald Trump for the legal restoration of her father in response to the pardons granted to Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley.
Gia mentioned in her July 4th Instagram post that her father was deported around four years back. Ever since then, our family has been stuck in an emotional turmoil. Regardless of how tough we try to be, the lack of a father or parent is something that continually causes pain.
The star of Next Gen NYC expressed that seeing the Chrisley family get a second chance left him feeling inspired. This demonstration showed him that people can indeed be pardoned, families can be rebuilt, and sometimes there’s space in the justice system for mercy. This realization gave him hope – hope that maybe my father could return home as well.
Right now, “RHONJ” (Real Housewives of New Jersey) is taking a break. However, stick around as we reveal Teresa’s position in TopMob’s definitive list of all the Housewives ranked!
Gia shared on her Instagram video from July 4th that her father was deported about four years ago. Ever since then, our family has been living in an emotional uncertainty. Regardless of how hard we try to stay strong, the lack of a father, a parent, continues to leave a painful void.
The star of Next Gen NYC found inspiration in seeing the Chrisley family get a second chance. This demonstrated to him that people can be forgiven, families can be reunited, and that at times, the legal system allows for mercy. This filled him with hope, a belief that perhaps his father could return home as well.
Currently, Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ) is taking a break. In the interim, delve into the article to discover Teresa’s position in TopMob’s definitive ranking of all Housewives throughout history.
As an ardent enthusiast, I can’t help but express my thoughts on Bravo’s ill-conceived endeavor to showcase our nation’s heart, which inadvertently united four women so nondescript that it’s understandable if they slip from one’s recollection-these being Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney, and Stacie Scott Turner. However, there was one whose yearning for the spotlight was so intense that she audaciously gate-crashed a White House event. I’ll delve deeper into her tale later on.
Who?
Vaguely familiar, but…
Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.
This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.
As a devoted fan following Utah’s latest addition to the Housewives, I must express my disappointment over how season two unfolded for Jennie. Regrettably, her dismissal occurred in January 2022 after it was found that some of her old Facebook posts from years past contained offensive and racially insensitive content, which caused a stir online. In an attempt to make amends, she apologized; however, the consequences of her past actions were already deeply felt.
Her defining trait was “cougar.”
During season 16, the doctor from Orange County was not a source of drama. Her brief marital issues with her husband, who is often seen without a shirt (either Ryne or Ryan), were rather uneventful. However, we’ll always remember Dr. Jen getting thoroughly intoxicated on wine at the Dubrows’ extraordinarily awkward, yet highly entertaining dinner party.
As a devoted admirer, I’d rephrase that statement like this: In my opinion, the initial stint of the nurse anesthetist was marked by a rather uncomfortable incident that I sincerely hope won’t be repeated – let’s just say it’s best known as ‘Esophagus-gate.’
Katie seemed enthusiastic about discussing her charity endeavors on the show, but she didn’t appear to do much else of significance in front of the camera. She was essentially a one-time appearance, and when she returned, she didn’t contribute significantly as a friend. Cutting the cast trip short? That’s definitely not the way things are done on the ‘Housewives.’
During the two seasons she spent as a primary cast member, Charrisse’s marital issues became quite prominent, making them notable aspects in her portrayal on the show, along with her champagne room experience.
A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?
In season 12, Peggy, despite adding some variety to the predominantly white Orange County, became a rather annoying character. The arguments she selected were peculiar, frequently revolving around misunderstandings of words, and her actions during the Iceland trip, where she secluded herself in her room for an entire day, showed that she might not be suited for the Real Housewives lifestyle.
During season eight, instead of building a connection with her Nigerian costar Wendy Osefo, Nneka’s storyline primarily focused on an alleged accusation she made against Wendy’s mother, claiming she was a witch (indeed, quite extraordinary). Regrettably, we missed the opportunity to see them bond over their shared heritage, instead witnessing a conflict without resolution.
As I whirled through Season 16, I couldn’t help but feel like a whirlwind of non-stop action. Amidst all that, my personal turmoil – my husband, James, abandoning the country and seeking a divorce just before filming began – certainly added an element of intrigue. Yet, it was my ongoing feud with Heather Dubrow, the season’s queen bee, that kept me from sinking too low in the rankings. With more time and another season under my belt, perhaps viewers will grow fonder of Noella Bergener.
In her initial season, she was known as a peacekeeper, but by her final season, she switched to constant complaints about a tossed cake and unwarranted accusations of anti-Semitism, leaving us wondering if we’ve ever witnessed a more rapid decline in the reputation of a Real Housewife.
Everything about Amber and her husband, whom we can refer to as Jim, appeared overly anxious or distressed. Moreover, Jim found himself more entangled in the drama compared to Amber. Certainly, it wasn’t a positive impression.
From what we recall, Karen is known to have been a dentist. It appears that none of her fellow cast members held a particularly positive opinion of her. On to the next topic!
This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.
In the group of newer cast members on “Real Housewives of New York,” Jules’ time only allowed for a short stay that prevented her from achieving a higher ranking. Yet, she certainly brought plenty of drama during her brief tenure.
So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.
Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina represented a dynamic and accomplished Arab woman who skillfully merged contemporary living with ancient cultural values. She generally steered clear of the dramatic events in season one and occasionally found herself eclipsed by her fellow stars’ more prominent, vibrant personas.
Taleen proved to be a pleasant newcomer during the second season of RHODubai, however, with just one season’s worth of content, it is difficult to make a comprehensive evaluation of her performance.
In seasons 11 and 12 of “America’s Next Top Model,” the veteran contestant carried a peach, but she failed to make a significant mark in the Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) world, with her pregnancy seemingly lasting throughout most of her time there. However, she did earn points for her memorable reading of Marlo Hampton during their Tokyo encounter.
Normally, we prefer to observe multiple seasons before ranking a new Housewife higher. However, Katie made a strong debut during the 18th season of RHOC, squaring off against long-time housewife Heather Dubrow from the get-go. It takes considerable courage to challenge someone as high-society as Ms. Fancypants.
Sara’s sunny, insightful perspective on life was indeed delightful, yet lacked the usual elements of drama (apart from the incident where she gave Caroline Brooks some unsolicited advice about parenting, which wasn’t particularly well-received). Nevertheless, this tech entrepreneur broke through conventional notions of what it is to be a contemporary Muslim woman in the Middle East, and for that, we commend her.
The newcomers to RHONJ during season 13 seem to embody the usual Jersey Housewife persona, and they quickly got entangled in a prolonged argument over an apparently trivial matter that even Andy Cohen labeled as needless at the reunion. Sadly, their friendship didn’t offer much depth throughout season 14.
In a simpler and more conversational style: In the first season, Larsa didn’t leave much of an impact before departing the show. When Real Housewives of Miami returned for its fourth season in 2021, however, Larsa’s storyline focused on her former friendship with Kim Kardashian and her side business selling racy foot photos on OnlyFans.
After appearing as a Bravolebrity for one season, Ana attempted to compete in season 12 of “Next Food Network Star” in the year 2016, but she unfortunately did not advance in the competition as well.
Sadly, she seemed to serve merely as a target for Brandi Glanville’s criticisms. Moreover, her catchphrase glorifying the unappealing idea that one can never be too thin was distasteful.
