When Disney+ launched, Marvel Studios started making a lot more TV shows to fill the streaming service with original content. These shows were also used to introduce new characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. While critics generally liked the show, some fans had issues with it, particularly the visual effects. It’s currently unclear if the show will return for a second season, but Tatiana Maslany recently spoke about its future.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Tatiana Maslany discussed the possibility of a second season of She-Hulk. She believes creator Jennifer Gao would be the best person to ask about future storylines, as Gao understands the show’s tone and the character so well. However, Maslany did share her main requirement for returning: any new season would need to address current events. She explained that She-Hulk‘s strength lies in her ability to comment on what’s happening in the world around us, and that’s what a potential Season 2 should explore.
Will She-Hulk Return to the MCU?

Although there’s a good chance She-Hulk could return – a superhero legal comedy has the potential for several seasons – it’s not yet clear if it will happen. Even if the creators, Gao and Maslany, have a compelling new story idea relevant to current events, Disney might not approve it. Disney previously told the creator of Andor, Tony Gilroy, that streaming wasn’t financially viable due to increasing production costs. It appears the company is now focusing more on releasing content in theaters.
Marvel is still committed to Disney+, as evidenced by the continued success of Daredevil: Born Again, which has been renewed for a third season. However, the studio is shifting its strategy, with Kevin Feige prioritizing fewer, higher-quality projects each year. He’s concerned that releasing too much content could overwhelm audiences, even dedicated fans, and make keeping up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe feel like a chore. The future of She-Hulk Season 2 will depend on Marvel’s overall plans and the projects currently in development.
After Avengers: Secret Wars, Marvel plans to refresh the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but not with a complete reboot. They intend to continue some existing stories and characters, focusing on the ones fans love most. This means some characters, like She-Hulk, might not return, as the show received mixed reactions. While Tatiana Maslany was great in the role, and it would be exciting to see her develop the character further – especially with the introduction of Skaar – Marvel’s main goal is to simplify things after the somewhat inconsistent Multiverse Saga and deliver a stronger, more focused experience for viewers.
Last year, fans guessed that Tatiana Maslany might return as She-Hulk in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. This speculation started when she had to unexpectedly cancel a convention appearance coinciding with the film’s shooting schedule. While Maslany’s involvement hasn’t been officially announced, there’s still a possibility she’ll appear as a surprise. Given the importance of the Hulk family in Marvel stories, it would be unusual if none of them were involved in the fight against Doctor Doom, but the movie has a large cast and limited screen time.
