With The Game Awards just around the corner, more game studios are announcing they’ll be involved. Neon Giant, the team behind The Ascent, is one of them. They’ve hinted at a reveal on December 11th, using the mysterious tagline “Nothing is off limits” and an image of a sad-looking cat painted as graffiti.
The presence of leaves on the right and lower left sides suggests this new setting is more lush and green than the city in The Ascent. This is Neon Giant’s first major game release since The Ascent, their cyberpunk shooter, came out in July 2021.
Created by a team of 12 people, the game became a hit, selling over a million copies. It was even expanded with a downloadable expansion called Cyber Heist, which introduced new areas, tasks, and weapons. After Krafton bought the development studio, they announced the team’s next game would be an open-world shooter. It’s currently unknown if this new project is related to the original game.
Besides Baldur’s Gate 3, The Game Awards will also feature looks at Exodus and a new trailer hinting at the next expansion for Diablo 4. There’s a good chance Ubisoft will announce a remake of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag as well.
Nothing is off limits.
