Season 2 of The Assassin is adding some familiar faces to its cast, including Natalia Tena, known for her roles in Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. Prime Video has also released a sneak peek with some first-look photos for fans.
Keeley Hawes is back as Julie Green in the new season. She’s a former assassin who was trying to live a peaceful life on a Greek island, but her past came back to haunt her when her son, Eddie (played by Freddie Highmore), showed up seeking information about his father.
Tena will play Inspector Cortez, a clever Spanish detective who is both emotionally aware and fiercely determined. Don’t underestimate her!
The actress is famous for her roles as Nymphadora Tonks in the Harry Potter movies and Osha in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
Season 2 will also feature Arnaud Binard, known for his role in Emily in Paris, as Bastien, a charming Frenchman who becomes connected to Julie. Boris Van Severen (Baptiste) joins the cast as Titus, a troubled Belgian man struggling with bitterness and grief.
The cast also welcomes several new faces, including Jacqueline Boatswain, known for her work on Bridgerton, Monic Hendrickx from Penoza, Karl-El Santos who starred in Stags, Mehdi Regragui of La Unidad Kabul, Casimiro Aguza from Sin Lìmites, and Tony Corvillo, recognized for his roles in Nowhere and Mano de Hierro.
Amin Hamada, known for his work on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, and Lolo Herrero, who starred in Return to Las Sabinas, also join the cast.
In addition to stars Hawes and Highmore, Shalom Brune-Franklin and Devon Terrell are also back for another season.
Season 2 begins with Edward and Julie back from a difficult trip to Northern Europe, and their relationship is strained after a major disagreement.
Edward’s honeymoon with Kayla doesn’t go smoothly, forcing him to team up with his ex, Julie, to fight corruption in Spain. But can they complete the dangerous mission and repair their broken relationship?
The Assassin was created by Two Brothers Pictures, the team known for Fleabag, with support from All3Media International.
