Quinton Aaron is focusing on his health.
Quinton Aaron, known for his role in The Blind Side, recently gave an update on his recovery from a stroke he suffered in January. The stroke left him in a coma and needing life support, and he shared details about when he expects to be able to walk again.
Quinton said on Good Morning America on April 20th that doctors estimated his recovery could take months, a year, or even up to a year. However, he confidently stated he believed he would be walking much sooner than that.
The actor from Halfway is thankful for the opportunity to prioritize his health, but wishes he’d taken better care of himself sooner. He previously revealed in October 2025 that he had lost over 200 pounds.
Over time, I realized my body was trying to tell me something, but I hadn’t been listening. It felt like it was really trying to get my attention, and I finally started to pay attention.
Quinton is receiving support from his family as he recovers, but his recent marriage to Margarita DeLeon has hit a snag. They married in December 2024, but it came to light during his four-day coma that she was still legally married to another person.
She lost the ability to make medical decisions on his behalf, which ultimately resulted in the doctors keeping her away from him.
The woman told me throughout our relationship that she’d been divorced for over ten years,” the 41-year-old said. “She even assured the wedding venue that she had all the divorce paperwork and could email it to them.”
He confessed that he hadn’t ever laid eyes on Margarita’s divorce papers, calling it the biggest error of his life.
After waking up from a coma, Quinton discovered his wife, Margarita, was still legally married to another man – someone she’d married back in 1992, according to his lawyer. He says the whole experience taught him a valuable lesson.

Looking back, he wished he’d taken the time to properly investigate things. He definitely would have done more research if he could do it again.
For Margarita’s part, she asserted that she had no idea her divorce had never been finalized.
I was honest with Quinton when I told him about this while he was in the hospital. It’s important people know the truth, so I told him, ‘I wasn’t aware of the information your family found about me, but I’ve since learned it’s true.’
Margarita’s ex-husband, Eric Guzman, supported her. He explained to ABC News that they had both thought they were already divorced for years. Because of this, he officially filed for divorce in February.
I’m really following Quinton’s story, and it’s inspiring to see him share what he’s going through. It’s also made me realize how many other celebrities have been open about their health battles, so I’m eager to learn more about their experiences too. I’m definitely going to keep reading!

She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. Lupita Nyong’o received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids – non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus – in 2014, the year she won an Academy Award for her role in 12 Years a Slave.
I nearly fell out of my chair when she finally told us in 2025! She wrote this heartbreaking post on Instagram saying she’d been secretly battling something for over ten years… ten years! It just broke my heart knowing she’d been going through all that alone, suffering in silence like she said.
She explained that girls are often taught to expect pain with their periods and to accept it as a normal part of womanhood. This leaves many of us dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.
Okay, so someone playfully called me out on my lack of recent tweets! It got me thinking… sometimes there’s a reason for radio silence, you know? I actually had a bit of a scare six months ago – I wore pants that were… well, too fitted, and honestly, it resulted in a hernia. I’ve been a little embarrassed to mention it, but that’s why I’ve been laying low! It just goes to show, even seemingly small fashion choices can have unexpected consequences. And sometimes, you just need a little time to recover – and maybe rethink your wardrobe!

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! I just found out that Adam Devine – my absolute FAVORITE – is still dealing with injuries from when he was eleven years old! Apparently, he got hit by a cement truck when he was a kid, and it’s still affecting him now! Can you even imagine?! It breaks my heart, but honestly, it just makes me love him even more knowing how strong he is!
It’s been incredibly tough, as I shared with Graham Bensinger on his podcast last year. I’ve been dealing with spasms all over my body, and honestly, the doctors were telling me for a while that I was facing a life-threatening situation – they really thought I was going to die within the last year.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its often negative side, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” during interviews, she was surprised to see doctors commenting online, concerned she might have Cushing syndrome. They pointed out changes in her face and suggested further investigation. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section, which led to the condition. She wouldn’t have known about it without the online comments. In a recent newsletter, Amy shared that she’s relieved to learn her type of Cushing syndrome is temporary and she is healthy.

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly began having stroke-like symptoms. Hailey explained on YouTube that Justin noticed something was wrong and asked if she was okay, but she couldn’t respond. When she tried to speak, she realized she was unable to and the right side of her face started to droop.
Although the symptoms eventually passed, Hailey went to the hospital where doctors discovered she’d had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled to her brain through this hole, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the virus affected nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually subsided. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary and unexpected, but assuring everyone that he would be completely fine and was grateful he was on the mend.

In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he was suffering from a severe headache when he suddenly lost consciousness. He doesn’t remember the next twenty days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for extensive rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying, “I needed every prayer.”

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the series, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan quickly revealed a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain. It was discovered she had an aneurysm, a ruptured blood vessel. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating.
During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, struggling to speak coherently. Thankfully, this passed after a week, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month. However, a brain scan in 2013 revealed the aneurysm had grown, requiring a second surgery.
This second procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull. Despite these incredibly difficult experiences, Emilia Clarke says she has now made a full recovery and is doing well.

Because she comes from a holistic health background and studies herbalism, Woodley sought help from both traditional doctors and alternative healers, hoping to find some relief. This search for answers took ten years.
The physical discomfort led to emotional and mental challenges, including fear of food, body image issues, and a struggle with her sense of self.
Ultimately, Woodley’s health improved, and she is now very healthy and happy. She shared that the issues eventually resolved themselves after a long journey of addressing both her physical and mental well-being.
