The Blood of Dawnwalker is “Great” on PS5, Says Studio CEO, Who Also Confirms No AI Usage

So, Rebel Wolves has been hinting at some big news for The Blood of Dawnwalker, and their latest tweet basically said they’re almost ready to show something amazing. I’m hoping this means we’ll finally get another gameplay look soon, maybe even a release date! The CEO, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, just announced he finished the game on PS5, which is a really good sign. Fingers crossed!

We’re currently finalizing the console versions of the game and preparing for certification. We’re feeling good about the process because we’ve thoroughly tested it – I’ve even completed the game on the PlayStation 5, and it’s running very well.

Following a joke from Dring about the potential for losing an award if AI-generated voice work was detected, Tomaszkiewicz clarified that all voice recording was completed some time ago. They are currently only making minor corrections to a few lines, and no AI was used in the process.

The game uses a tool that acts a bit like AI to check if quests and conversations are working correctly, making sure players aren’t getting stuck. This helps the quality assurance team with a major challenge – the game has so many branching choices and outcomes that it’s difficult to test everything thoroughly.

Currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC is The Blood of Dawnwalker. While Rebel Wolves hasn’t announced a specific release date, it’s expected to launch this year. A recent showcase highlighted how gameplay changes between day and night, demonstrating a quest where players confront a failed vampire experiment to gain entry to a library and find a crypt.

Players also had the option of using their skills to quietly gather information under the cover of darkness. The game offers many choices like this, and you’ll need to carefully manage your time to make the most of them. We’ll share more details soon, and you can also read what the developer, Tomaszkiewicz, thinks about comparisons to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
