I’ve been really excited about The Blood of Dawnwalker – I truly think it’s going to be amazing when it comes out in September. But it’s funny, you know, vampires are supposed to hate sunlight! It’s a bit ironic considering the title, isn’t it?
Luckily, the main character, Coen, hasn’t lost his humanity completely, which allows him to venture out during the day – and we’re glad it does! The game cleverly uses his dual nature, creating a unique and engaging gameplay experience.
Despite what you might think, the game isn’t limiting at all. In an interview with PAP Bisnez, developer Tomaszkiewicz explained that the story gives players a lot of freedom in how they choose to get revenge on Brencis, the vampire responsible for Coen’s troubles. We already knew destabilizing Brencis’ power would be necessary before confronting him, and that this conflict could take longer than the game’s 30-day limit. It’s great to hear the developers were inspired by games known for giving players real control over their choices.
The Blood of Dawnwalker will be a story-driven game where you have a lot of freedom to choose your own path, much like the original Fallout games. We want players to be able to decide how they reach the game’s ending.
So, some players might rush straight into fighting Brencis, but I’m planning to take my time and really explore Vale Sangora. And the cool thing is, the developers are already working on free updates after launch! With a lot of people adding The Blood of Dawnwalker to their wishlists, it feels like this game could be something special when it drops on September 3rd – especially with so many other releases happening that month.
