Following the reboot of the DC Universe post-“Superman”, we’ve finally witnessed our first transformation, and it’s nothing short of electrifying!

Throughout various live-action superhero sagas, like 20th Century Fox’s X-Men series, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the DC Extended Universe, these characters have consistently donned new superhero suits. Alcock made a brief appearance as Kara Zor-El’s Supergirl in “Superman” to retrieve her dog, Krypto, and pave the way for her upcoming DCU solo film. In the poster, her belt is now fully golden, echoing its comic book counterpart more closely. Her skirt has also been revamped with a new texture, and her boots are capped with golden trimmings. The ensemble in the new poster seems to draw heavily from Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a 2021 DC Comics release, which serves as the blueprint for the 2026 Supergirl movie.

It’s quite surprising that the revamped DC Universe has already experienced its first costume alteration, given that only one live-action film has been released in this new franchise. James Gunn and Peter Safran are carefully crafting the foundations of the new DCU, and Superman marked an exciting beginning for the series, with Supergirl set to broaden its scope.
