
The DC Universe is expanding thanks to DC Studios, and a significant new series focusing on Superman is now moving ahead with development.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming Jimmy Olsen spinoff starring Skyler Gisondo has found its showrunners: Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda. They will write and executive produce the HBO Max series. If the show moves forward, it will officially include the DC villain Gorilla Grodd.
I’m really excited about the idea for this story! It centers around Jimmy Olsen, but also features other reporters at the Daily Planet – everyone except Lois and Clark, of course – as they investigate crimes committed by villains with superpowers. It sounds like a great way to expand the world and show us some different perspectives on the superhero action.
