Owlcat Games recently showed off new gameplay for their upcoming game, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, during the Xbox Partner Showcase. The game, which is similar to Mass Effect and blends third-person shooting with RPG elements, is scheduled to release in Spring 2027. Players who buy the Miller’s Pack will gain access to a closed beta starting April 22nd.
The game includes a mission where you and your twin return to Pinkwater 4 station and meet Zafar, who becomes a mechanic and valuable ally. Even when he’s not with your team, Zafar can still offer support. Like Owlcat’s other games, your decisions matter, and this beta—according to Xbox Wire—will have a noticeable impact on the story and other characters.
The game features a diverse arsenal of weapons, from pistols and SMGs to sniper rifles, and unique gadgets like zero-gravity grenades and deployable drones for attacking enemies. While cover is helpful, keep in mind that it can be destroyed after sustained fire.
You’ll be able to play The Expanse: Osiris Reborn on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Plus, it’s included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from day one and features Xbox Play Anywhere, letting you play on both your console and PC.
