The new movie takes place in a colorful, retro-futuristic world reminiscent of the 1960s and introduces Marvel’s Fantastic Four – Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing). They’re facing their biggest threat yet: Galactus, a space god who wants to destroy Earth, and his mysterious helper, the Silver Surfer. Juggling their heroic duties and family life, the Fantastic Four must save the planet, and things get even more complicated when Galactus’ plan becomes deeply personal.
Matt Shakman, the director known for Disney+’s WandaVision, directed The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The film stars Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing. The cast will reprise their roles in the next Avengers movie, titled Doomsday. Joining them are Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer, Ralph Ineson as Galactus, Natasha Lyonne as Rachel, and Paul Walter Hauser as Mole Man.
