The Gentlemen season 2 release window and major production update revealed by star Theo James

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of ‘The Gentlemen,’ Guy Ritchie’s popular crime series on Netflix. The show, which began in March 2024 as a spin-off of Ritchie’s film, hasn’t yet had a release date announced for its second season, leaving viewers waiting for over two years.

The wait is still ongoing, but thanks to Theo James, the star of ‘Eddie Horniman,’ we now have an idea of when it will finally be over.

James announced on TikTok with Jasmine Valentine that filming for season two is complete. They are currently in the process of editing it.

It still needs a few finishing touches, but it’s scheduled for release in the fall. It’s enjoyable, and while it remains humorous, it’s now a bit more edgy and unpredictable.

Joining James in season two of The Gentlemen are returning cast members Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito, Michael Vu, and Pearce Quigley. Hugh Bonneville and Maya Jama are new to the cast this season.

A year has passed since Eddie and Susie started working with Bobby on his criminal operations abroad.

In May 2025, Ritchie announced his return to direct season 2 of The Gentlemen. He explained that this season will be bigger and bolder than the first, moving the action from rural England to the beautiful Italian lakes and exploring new themes along the way.

Eddie and Susie are facing growing challenges as new and mysterious figures arrive, creating chaos from all sides. The situation is becoming more dangerous, and I’m excited to be working with such a talented group of actors and filmmakers again.
