The Great British Bake Off is adding a new challenge to the show, and a fan may have inspired the idea!
Later this year, the beloved baking show will feature a special week where viewers get to help decide the challenges. Judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood are asking fans for their ideas!
Do you have a fantastic recipe, a unique technical challenge, or an amazing showstopping bake? Channel 4 is looking for talented bakers like you!
Paul Hollywood announced that, for the first time, he and Prue Leith will be sharing the decision-making process during Audience Choice week. They want to involve viewers and bring their ideas to life on the show.
I’m excited to see the innovative ideas people submit. I often hear from viewers who suggest problems they’d like us to tackle on the show, and now they have a chance to share them!

If you have a great idea, you can share it by visiting channel4.com/takepart. Don’t delay though – the submission deadline is Sunday, January 18th at 1pm.
Just so you know, submitting your ideas isn’t entering a contest, and there aren’t any prizes. However, your submissions might be featured on the show, which is a great way to see your concepts realized!
Prue Leith shared her excitement about a new ‘Audience Choice’ week on Bake Off, where viewers get to vote for the baked goods they want to see contestants make in the next series.
You can now apply for the seventeenth season of The Great British Bake Off! But hurry – the application deadline is today, January 2nd.
