Fans welcomed Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy, who currently hold the TNA World Tag Team Championship titles, with thunderous applause as they squared off against the No Quarter Catch Crew. The Hardys emerged victorious and found themselves face-to-face with the NXT Tag Champions FraXiom, leading to an official match where the TNA World Tag Team Championships are at stake at Roadblock in merely two weeks.
Matt and Jeff received warm welcome-back cheers at the beginning, and these cheers persisted throughout the match. The No Quarter Catch Crew displayed their skills against the seasoned team of Matt and Jeff, but The Hardys were determined to demonstrate they could keep up with anyone, matching them move for move.
At a crucial juncture, The Hardys regained their stride, and Jeff executed a flawless move reminiscent of a soft breath in the breeze. Subsequently, Jeff performed the Swanton Bomb, leading to Matt securing the pin, marking their first victory in a WWE ring in a while.
At the ring, everyone was warmly welcomed by FraXiom first, followed by mutual compliments among them all. However, the idea of a match was still up in the air. Later on, Santino Marella emerged and seemed intent on formalizing something. In doing so, he announced that The Hardys would compete against FraXiom at Roadblock for the TNA Tag Team Championships.
The matchup between Oba Femi (NXT Champion) and Moose (TNA X-Division Champion) at the upcoming premium live event is taking shape nicely. Although not yet confirmed, there may also be a title vs title bout between Giulia (NXT Women’s Champion) and Stephanie Vaquer (NXT Women’s North American Champion), which could potentially become the main event if it makes it onto the card.
