The highly anticipated movie, Avengers: Doomsday, is scheduled for release in 2026. While it will feature many popular MCU stars like Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr., another major character who hasn’t been seen for a long time will be returning in a separate project.
Before the release of Avengers: Doomsday, season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again will continue the story of Wilson Fisk’s control over New York City. This season, Daredevil will need to gather a team of heroes to fight Fisk and a new task force opposing vigilantes. While some of these heroes appeared in season 1, a major new character will also be introduced.
Jessica Jones Will Return In Born Again Season 2

After a seven-year absence, Jessica Jones is coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2026. Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as the former superhero and private investigator, who was a key member of the Defenders team and originally appeared in the Netflix Marvel series. Her return comes after Marvel ended its collaboration with Netflix and brought its television production in-house for Disney+.
Rumors of Daredevil’s return had been circulating for a while, as he made appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk, and Echo before finally getting his own series. The original Netflix Daredevil series was incredibly popular, so many expected his comeback. However, the future of the other Netflix Marvel shows was less certain. While Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist all had dedicated fans, they weren’t as widely popular as Daredevil, and fans were eager to see if they would ever return.
Good news for fans: Jessica Jones is officially returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in season 2 of Born Again. While it’s still unclear what her role will be, she appears in the first teaser, and seems to be the same Jessica Jones we know and love from the Netflix series. This should be a really exciting comeback for Jessica Jones fans!
It’s great to have Jessica Jones back, but her return could have bigger implications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her appearance in season 2 suggests Marvel is open to bringing back characters from the old Netflix shows to add a more grounded, street-level element to the MCU. If fans respond positively to Jessica’s return, we might see other heroes like Luke Cage and Iron Fist show up in future Marvel projects.
While Doomsday has a lot of potential, many Marvel fans are even more thrilled about the return of Born Again. This Disney+ series will significantly expand Jessica’s role and introduce her to a wider audience within the MCU.
