Fans are really excited about when Season 2 of The Mighty Nein will be released. After the huge success of Critical Role’s animated series, The Legend of Vox Machina, which wowed viewers with its exciting fantasy story, everyone is eager to know when the next season will arrive. The anticipation is building among both fans of the show and players of the Dungeons & Dragons game – so, when can we expect it?
Here’s the latest information we have about when The Mighty Nein Season 2 might be released, including news and updates.
What is The Mighty Nein Season 2 release date estimate?
We’re expecting Season 2 of The Mighty Nein to come out between late 2026 and early 2027. This estimate is based on the fact that all the voice actors have already finished recording their parts.
The previous Critical Role animated series, The Legend of Vox Machina, had about a year between each season. If the new show follows a similar schedule, we might see it around early 2027. But because the voice actors have already finished recording, production is likely further along, potentially allowing the next season to arrive as early as late 2026.
Currently, this is just a speculation due to the lack of an official release date.
The Mighty Nein Season 2 news and updates
According to Comicbook.com, the second season of The Mighty Nein was confirmed well before the show’s November 2025 premiere.
At the IGN Live event on June 8, 2025, Travis Willingham, the voice of Fjord, shared that they recorded both the first and second seasons of the show back-to-back. He hinted at some upcoming changes, saying, “Get ready, because it’s going to be fantastic! We’ve already finished recording the entirety of Seasons 1 and 2, and it looks amazing.”
The second season of The Mighty Nein could feature voice actors like Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, and Sam Riegel.
