The Night Manager season 2 finale first-look images tease grave danger for Pine and character return

Fans of The Night Manager are getting a sneak peek at the season two finale! New photos have been released, offering exciting clues about what to expect.

The long-awaited sequel has captivated audiences, pulling spy Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) from his peaceful London existence into a dangerous new undercover operation filled with unexpected twists.

The biggest surprise was learning that Richard Roper, the ruthless arms dealer (played by Hugh Laurie), didn’t actually die. Despite seemingly being killed by those he’d wronged, he was secretly rebuilding his power.

He had been secretly planning to regain power with his son, Teddy Dos Santos (Diego Calva), but their relationship is now fractured because Pine revealed Roper’s complicated feelings about his hidden son.

Teddy is being deeply affected by unkind remarks, and his feelings for Pine might be causing him to switch allegiances. But could they work together to defeat their enemy?

Initial photos from the final episode reveal Pine looking injured and concerned in a Colombian forest. Roper and Teddy are also present, seen searching the area with torches. The reason for their being in this isolated place is still unknown.

In a tense moment, Teddy’s colleague, Roxana Bolaños (played by Camila Morrone), is brought before Roper. She appears to be held captive, and Roper looks extremely angry.

Roxana is good at handling difficult problems, but she might finally be facing a challenge she can’t overcome.

A new image reveals that Noah Jupe will be returning as Danny. He hasn’t been seen since the start of season two, when it was revealed he was away at boarding school and still held a grudge against Pine.

Jupe is currently traveling to various awards ceremonies to promote his Shakespearean play, Hamnet, which features Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley.

The Roper brothers don’t seem thrilled as they head into the final round. Danny appears downcast, gazing off into the distance, and Teddy looks lost in thought, as if pondering something serious.

We’ve all been there.

Olivia Colman will return as the popular character Angela Burr in the season 2 finale. She’ll be pulled back into the investigation after her friend and colleague, Basil (played by Paul Chahidi), is shockingly murdered in the episode before the finale.

In a heartbreaking and unsettling moment, the MI6 agent was betrayed by his supervisor, Mayra Cavendish (Indira Varma). However, he managed to leave clues for Angela to pick up where he left off.

Season two of The Night Manager will feature Hayley Squires, Michael Nardone, and Alistair Petrie joining the cast. Will their characters survive until the end? Watch this weekend to find out!

The Night Manager season 2 airs Sundays on BBC One and iPlayer.
