As everyone was glued to the TV for the finale of The Celebrity Traitors last night, I got a really exciting surprise – a first look at the trailer for the new season of The Night Manager! It definitely left me wanting more.
We got a first glimpse of the new season earlier this week, and now with a trailer released, fans are more excited than ever for the upcoming episodes.
The preview shows Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) being questioned about his skills as a spy, mixed with quick shots of upcoming action. We get brief looks at the new characters played by Indira Varma and Diego Calva, a thrilling motorcycle chase, and a scene of Jonathan desperately fleeing an exploding hallway.
The season’s trailer showed Jonathan being forcibly restrained with tape over his mouth, and armed police raiding a luxurious house. It’s clear he’s facing some serious challenges this season.
You can watch the trailer below.

Although it’s been nine years since the first season ended, the preview for season 2 indicates it will be just as captivating as the original.
Tom Hiddleston returns as the main character, and he’s joined by familiar actors including Olivia Colman (known from The Crown), Alistair Petrie (Sex Education), Douglas Hodge (Joker), Michael Nardone (Traces), and Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place).

The film will feature new cast members Diego Calva (known for Narcos: Mexico) playing Teddy, Camila Morrone (Daisy Jones & The Six) as Roxana, Indira Varma (Obsession) as Mayra, Paul Chahidi (Wicked Little Letters) as Basil, and Hayley Squires (Adult Material) as Sally.
In season two of The Night Manager, Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) believes he’s left his dangerous past behind. Now going by the name Alex Goodwin, he’s settled into a peaceful, routine life working a low-key surveillance job for MI6 in London.
One night, Pine unexpectedly spots a former Roper mercenary, which spurs him into action. This leads to a dangerous confrontation with Teddy Dos Santos (Diego Calva), a newcomer with powerful connections.
So, the story picks up with Pine embarking on this really dangerous new mission. He crosses paths with Roxana Bolaños, played by Camila Morrone, a businesswoman who isn’t thrilled about helping him, but she ends up being key to getting him inside Teddy’s arms dealing operation in Colombia. Once he’s there, things get intense – he quickly finds himself tangled up in a seriously deadly plot involving weapons and the training of a whole guerrilla army. It’s a real pressure cooker!
With loyalties shifting and fracturing, Pine is in a desperate race to uncover a plot that threatens to tear a country apart. Surrounded by betrayal, he has to figure out who he can rely on and how much he’s willing to risk to stop it before time runs out.
There’s no confirmed release date for the second season of The Night Manager yet, but with the recent photos and teaser trailer, an announcement is expected soon.
