Obsidian’s *The Outer Worlds 2* launches later this month, and Game Informer has just released some new gameplay footage. This video shows Paradise Island, the first location players will explore after the game’s introduction. You can watch it below.
The island is overrun with dangerous creatures, likely because it’s been abandoned for a long time. This creates exciting combat opportunities. The Protectorate controls Paradise Island, and you’ll need to get past a guarded drawbridge to enter. You have several options for doing so, including manipulating a Senior Warden by exposing supposed ‘traitors’ among their ranks, which will earn you safe passage.
I’m really excited about how much choice there is in this game! One part has you helping Minister Milverstreet from Auntie’s Choice, which looks like it’ll be a sneaky, stealth-based mission. But, if I decide to help a different character instead, the whole mission apparently changes completely – it’s a totally different experience! That’s awesome.
The highly anticipated game, *The Outer Worlds 2*, will be released on October 29th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. You can learn more about the characters who will join you on your journey in this new trailer.
