The UK has three more episodes of The Pitt Season 2 coming up, but production on Season 3 is already well underway since the show finished airing in the US some time ago.
Season 3 is officially happening! HBO Max confirmed the news on their social media pages.
The news came with a video showing which actors were coming back – they revealed it by displaying each character’s name tag, and naturally, Noah Wyle was first, reprising his role as Dr. Robby.
Sepideh Moafi will reprise her role as Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi, and Katherine LaNasa returns as Dana Evans for season 3. Ayesha Harris as Dr. Parker Ellis, Fiona Dourif as Dr. Cassie McKay, and Patrick Ball as Dr. Frank Langdon will also be back.
Taylor Dearden will reprise her role as Dr. Melissa ‘Mel’ King, and Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, and Shawn Hatosy are also returning as Dr. Trinity Santos, Dr. Dennis Whitaker, Victoria Javadi, and Dr. Jack Abbot, respectively.

The cast list didn’t reveal any major surprises. Many of the actors had already announced they were participating, and it had been previously reported that Ayesha Harris, who has been a recurring cast member as Dr. Ellis since the first season, would be promoted to a main role, with her character moving to the day shift.
The show confirmed a major character, Dr. Samira Mohan played by Supriya Ganesh, won’t be back after appearing in the first two seasons.

Just like the first two seasons, season 3 should premiere in the US in January. Now that HBO Max is available in the UK, it’s likely to be released around the same time there.
According to Wyle, the next season will take place right before the holiday season in early November, bringing with it fresh crises, conflicts, and challenges.
