The Golden Raspberry Awards, often called the Razzies, are usually a source of debate during Hollywood’s awards season. However, this year’s nominations haven’t caused much disagreement, as they largely feature the films many expected to be recognized. The 46th annual ceremony will take place just before the Oscars on March 14, 2026.
It’s an unusual awards season, as Disney and Amazon MGM Studios are leading the nominations – but with two of their most critically disliked films. Disney’s remake of a classic animated movie has been controversial for various reasons, leading many to question why it was made. Amazon’s film, starring Ice Cube and based on a famous science fiction story, was jokingly called a long advertisement for Amazon’s own products. Both films received six nominations.
Both of these critically panned films have been nominated for Worst Picture and Worst Remake/Rip-Off/Sequel at the Golden Raspberry Awards (Razzies). Ice Cube is up for Worst Actor, but surprisingly, Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot were left out of the Worst Actress category. This is unusual for the Razzies, who famously created a special category for Bruce Willis when he was diagnosed with aphasia, and even nominated a 12-year-old, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, for her role in the Firestarter remake. However, the seven actors who played the dwarfs in Snow White did receive nominations.
Several films are predicted to perform poorly and avoid winning awards, including George R.R. Martin’s In the Lost Lands starring Dave Bautista and Milla Jovovich, Tron: Ares with Jared Leto (as expected), and the critically disliked Netflix film The Electric State directed by the Russo brothers.
