The Real Story Behind Teresa Giudice & Joe Gorga’s Reconciliation

Teresa Guidice is all about family—including her brother Joe Gorga.

After ending her long-running feud with her sister and sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star revealed that her daughter, 24-year-old Gia Guidice, played a key role in helping them reconcile.

I recently shared with Erin Lim Rhodes at BravoCon that after my time on Special Forces, I connected with him. She really encouraged me to move forward and let go of any lingering issues with her dad. Honestly, being a mom is my top priority, and I always try to set a good example for my kids. It’s about being a role model first and foremost.

The reality star, who is also a mother to Gabriella, 21, Milania, 19, and Audriana, 16, with her ex-husband Joe Giudice, started thinking about other difficult relationships she had.

Thinking about forgiving my husband made me think of my brother. I really want to reconnect with him, so I contacted him as soon as I got home, and he immediately got back to me.

As for what their in-person reunion was like?

It felt like I was reconnecting with my brother,” Teresa said. “We chatted, though he wasn’t very forthcoming, and I’m really hoping we can avoid repeating past issues.

She felt confident that Joe, with whom she shares three children – 20-year-old Antonia, 18-year-old Gino, and 15-year-old Joey Jr. – would support her regarding family matters as they rebuilt their relationship.

She said her husband often calls her the family’s matriarch, and recently told her, ‘You lead the way, and I’ll support you.’ She added that she appreciates this because family is incredibly important to her.

Teresa is happy to include everyone, adding, “I want Melissa in my life, my nephews, my niece.”

While the Giudice-Gorga family works on rebuilding their relationship, she shared a hopeful message, saying there’s always a brighter future ahead.

Teresa encouraged her fans to connect with their siblings, saying life is too short to hold grudges. She advised that even if there have been difficulties, it’s important to communicate, forgive, and move forward.
