The Rookie confirmed to cross over with another rather unexpected popular US show

The American police drama The Rookie is currently in its eighth season, and it’s been taking some bold creative risks. It premiered in the US at the beginning of the year and is now available to watch in the UK.

In fact, the show has just announced a big new crossover, and it’s one that nobody saw coming.

In the upcoming episode of The Rookie, titled “Fun and Games,” the cast of the Dropout competition series, Game Changer, will make an appearance. Dropout was formerly known as CollegeHumor.

On March 2nd, a new episode will be released in the US featuring Sam Reich, the CEO of Dropout and host of Game Changer. Joining him will be fellow Dropout creatives Vic Michaelis, Jacob Wysocki, Zac Oyama, and Anna Garcia.

In the next episode, Harper and Miles are both dealing with the consequences of their actions. Meanwhile, Harper is assigned to train Miles, and Nolan and Celina respond to a robbery at Dropout TV Studios, where Nolan runs into someone he knows.

Since it premiered in 2018, The Rookie has become a popular show on ABC, starring Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Melissa O’Neil, Eric Winter, Mekia Cox, Shawn Ashmore, Jenna Dewan, Lisseth Chavez, and Deric Augustine.

A spin-off of the show, called The Rookie: Feds, ran for one season from 2022 to 2023. Currently, a pilot for another spin-off, The Rookie: North, is being filmed.

Jay Ellis, known for his role in ‘All Her Fault,’ will play Alex Holland in a new series. Holland is looking for a fresh start after years of struggling with relationships, so he makes a surprising move: joining the Pierce County Police Department in Washington state as their oldest new recruit.

The show will feature Chris Sullivan, known for his role in ‘Mercy’, along with Froy Gutierrez from ‘I Love LA’, Janet Montgomery of ‘New Amsterdam’, Karen Fukuhara from ‘The Boys’, Mya Lowe who starred in ‘My Life with the Walter Boys’, and Malik Watson.
