The stars of The Forsytes are on this week’s Radio Times

I didn’t get to see the BBC’s original “The Forsyte Saga” when it aired in 1967. It was the last big TV series filmed in black and white, and its fantastic actors made it a truly memorable moment in television history.

The newest installment has been airing for several weeks on Channel 5 and is already showing itself to be a strong follow-up to its predecessors. Created by the same team behind the recent successful revival of Poldark, it’s clear they have a knack for making compelling period dramas.

This story, inspired by the novels of John Galsworthy, follows a wealthy family from the 1870s through the early 1900s. It examines topics like love, infidelity, how society was changing, and the struggle between personal desires and family obligations.

Don’t miss this fresh adaptation of Galsworthy’s classic story! Find out more about the show’s cast in this week’s magazine.
