Both season four of The Traitors and The Night Manager had incredibly popular premieres, achieving record-breaking viewership numbers for the BBC, based on recent data.
The first episode of The Traitors season 4 premiered on BBC One and iPlayer on January 1st, 2026, and became the most-watched episode of the show’s civilian version, attracting 13.3 million viewers in its first 28 days.
This launch is the second largest in the market since 2022, following only ‘The Celebrity Traitors’.
The first episode of The Night Manager season 2 launched on BBC One and iPlayer on January 1st, 2026, and quickly became a hit. Over the following 28 days, it reached 8.7 million viewers – the largest audience for a new BBC drama since the second season of Vigil aired in 2023.
Okay, so season four of The Traitors is here, and let me tell you, it’s brilliant! Claudia Winkleman’s back, and this time she’s gathered 22 new players for a seriously intense game of deception and backstabbing, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Highlands. It’s a recipe for drama, and I’m completely hooked!

The new season really goes all out, adding an exciting element to the show: a hidden Traitor.
I’m thrilled to hear they’re making a second season of The Night Manager! It’s fantastic news that Tom Hiddleston will be back as Jonathan Pine, and Olivia Colman as Angela Burr – they were both incredible. Apparently, we’ll also be meeting some new characters, which is always exciting.
The story resumes eight years later, with Pine living quietly under an assumed name. He believes he’s escaped his past, but soon finds himself pulled back into a risky and complex mission.
