I’m so excited – we’ve just gotten a little peek behind the scenes of the upcoming West End stage show based on ‘The Traitors‘! It’s set to premiere in 2027, and I can’t wait to learn more about how they’re bringing the show to life.
Earlier this year, the BBC revealed plans to adapt the popular series for the stage. They’ve now announced the show’s title, performance dates, and a unique presentation format.
Based on the hit TV series, The Traitors – Acts of Betrayal is coming to the Gillian Lynne Theatre in May 2027. It won’t be a single play, but rather five new plays all connected by the show’s unique format.
I’m so excited about this show! Every performance starts with the same basic setup, but then it goes off in completely different directions – there are five possible storylines that could unfold each time. It’s wild to think a character who might die early on Monday could actually survive and even win by Thursday. The creators see each night’s play as a full story itself, but also as a piece of something bigger, which is really cool.
On Saturdays, the show offers an exciting twist: the audience gets to decide who the Traitor is! This choice changes the story, meaning every performance can be unique – you could watch it ten times and experience a different ending each time.
While details are still limited, it seems each episode will likely begin with a mysterious host, similar to Claudia, choosing their team of Traitors. We can also expect to see familiar elements from the show, such as The Round Table, The Tower, and the various challenges.
According to Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert, each of the five plays presents a complete story. However, the events of the evening could have unfolded very differently, and viewers are encouraged to return and explore those possibilities. While appearing to be a game of suspicion and deception, the plays ultimately delve into the core of human nature, revealing our true selves when faced with pressure.

Caro Newling, who co-founded Neal Street Productions, said it was a wonderful opportunity to adapt this naturally stage-friendly idea with Studio Lambert and a talented group of theatre professionals.
Offering a new play every weeknight and unpredictable performances on Saturdays, they’ve built something truly ambitious. It’s like getting a whole season of entertainment all centered around the world of the Traitors.
Previews for the stage production of The Traitors will begin on May 11, 2027, with the official opening night scheduled for June 8th. While the cast and other details haven’t been revealed yet, tickets are now available for purchase.
