The season 4 finale of The Traitors was a big hit last night (January 22nd), becoming the most-watched episode ever of the show when featuring non-celebrity contestants.
In a surprising turn of events, Traitors Stephen and Rachel successfully tricked all the Faithfuls and won the entire £95,750 prize ($130,000) for themselves.
The episode captivated audiences, drawing 9.4 million viewers in the UK, with a peak of 9.6 million, according to data from overnights.tv as reported by Deadline.
This week’s viewership is much greater than the 7.4 million who watched the season 3 finale.
As a huge fan, I was thrilled to hear this episode pulled in the biggest audience yet for the regular version of the show! It’s amazing to see so many people tuning in. Though, it’s worth noting the finale of ‘The Celebrity Traitors’ actually had even more viewers last year – around 11 million, if I remember correctly. Still, this is a fantastic result and bodes well for the series!
Viewership for The Traitors has been consistently increasing throughout the season. The season four premiere attracted 6.4 million viewers, and last Thursday’s second-to-last episode reached an average of 8.44 million.
Last night’s finale was incredibly exciting! The episode was unusually long, lasting a full hour and fifteen minutes.
