The Traitors UK star Harry Clark is set to front a new “audacious” documentary about the Pope.
A new 60-minute BBC Two program, currently titled ‘Harry Clark Goes to Rome,’ will follow the TV personality as he travels to Rome and Vatican City to investigate faith in today’s world. The show promises to be a fascinating look at this important topic.
From a young age, my faith has been a central part of my life, so I was incredibly surprised and excited to learn I’d be traveling to Rome with the BBC. This trip feels like a dream come true, and I can’t wait to share my experiences along the way. I’m even hoping I might have the chance to meet Pope Leo during my adventure!
This documentary looks at what it means to be a Catholic today, focusing on faith and personal identity. It includes interviews with Clark’s girlfriend, Anna, his family and friends, and his mother, Georgia, who will join him on a trip to Rome.
The main focus of the story will be a bold undertaking: Harry’s funny and determined effort to get a meeting with the Pope, according to early details.
I was really intrigued by this part of the documentary – Harry actually walked in the footsteps of pilgrims in Rome! He even did that classic ‘Mouth of Truth’ bit, you know, putting his hand in to see if he’d told the truth, and then he had a private confession. It felt like a really personal journey for him.
Okay, so things are really heating up now. Our protagonist, Harry, finally gets a sit-down with a powerful Cardinal – someone right at the Pope’s side, and a key player in the election process. It’s a huge opportunity, and I’m genuinely wondering if he can pull it off. Seriously, this feels like a long shot, a real against-all-odds moment, but that’s what makes it so gripping!

Clark became well-known after his impressive win on The Traitors 2024, where he cleverly tricked the other players to claim the top prize. He also previously appeared on Pilgrimage: The Road to the Alps.
According to Daisy Scalchi, the BBC’s Head of Religion and Ethics for television, Harry offers a unique, humorous, and deeply personal take on discussions about faith. Viewers can expect plenty of laughs and unexpected moments.
According to Karen Emsley, Executive Producer at CTVC, the film portrays a deeply moving and personal story—a journey not only to Rome, but also of self-discovery through faith and family. She highlighted Harry’s genuine personality, honesty, and resilience, making viewers immediately supportive of his quest.
