Kata Hay is facing legal trouble.
Police in Oklahoma arrested the former contestant from The Voice after authorities in Tennessee asked for help locating her. They believe she was involved in a fatal car accident, according to a Facebook post from the Goodlettsville Police Department.
Kata Huddleston, known as Hay, was arrested in Osage County, Oklahoma, on December 17th. She’s currently being held and will be extradited to face charges as a fugitive, according to TopMob News and jail records.
On December 16th, the Goodlettsville Police Department asked the public to be aware that Hay, a reality TV star from season 11 of a show, was missing, and shared a picture of him.
According to a Facebook post by Tennessee police, the woman is wanted for vehicular homicide related to a car crash on Hollow Pike near I-65. Authorities believe she may be traveling to Oklahoma, possibly with a white male and a large camper.
The police announced that Hay was arrested in Oklahoma early this morning thanks to tips from the public. She will be brought back to Davidson County to face charges.
TopMob News has reached out to Hay for comment and has not yet heard back.
According to court documents obtained by TopMob, Hay faces charges in Davidson County related to an incident on December 10th. These charges include a second DUI, two counts of hit-and-run involving over $1,500 in property damage, and possession of an open container of alcohol. She is due in court on February 2nd at 8:30 a.m. local time.

Denise Hay is facing new legal issues just three years after admitting to unlawful sexual contact with a minor in Sumner County in 2022, according to court documents obtained by TopMob. She received a six-month jail sentence, and was also ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation and an intensive outpatient program, as reported by WKRN journalists who were present in court.
During her court testimony, Hay expressed remorse and stated she had been drinking at the time of the offense involving the 16-year-old. She told the court, “I don’t want to hurt anyone else, and I am sincerely sorry.”
Hay first gained recognition on the show The Voice in 2011, where Christina Aguilera coached her. However, she was eliminated during the first week of the live competition.
