As ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2‘ is released internationally with support from the cast and crew, details are emerging about some unexpected cameo appearances in the film.

I was really surprised to hear they cut Sydney Sweeney’s cameo! She filmed a scene right at the beginning, playing herself and getting ready for an event with Emily Blunt’s character, Emily Charlton – who’s now in charge of Dior in the US. Apparently, the scene just didn’t fit with the overall flow of the movie, so they had to remove it. It was about three minutes long, which is a shame!

Many believe Anna Wintour was the model for Meryl Streep’s character in the film. Wintour has been reluctant to confirm whether she made a brief appearance, but reports suggest she did film a scene. However, she started acting before her cue, resulting in a slightly blurry shot. Director David Frankel decided not to ask her to redo it, famously saying he couldn’t ask her for another take.

Conrad Ricamora, known for his role in “How to Get Away With Murder,” was removed from the film after test audiences didn’t understand his character’s relationship with Anne Hathaway’s character, Andy. His role as Andy’s roommate didn’t make sense to viewers.

There was talk of Jessica Chastain making a brief appearance, but it turned out to be just a rumour and never actually happened.

The final cut of the film featured cameos from Lady Gaga, Donatella Versace, and Naomi Campbell, who filmed their appearances live during Milan Fashion Week.
