Timothée Chalamet wasn’t prepared to see this kind of debris in outer space.

Reflecting on his experience in the 2014 film Interstellar, the actor revealed that Matthew McConaughey, who played his on-screen father, gave him a risqué farewell gift on the final day of shooting.

Timothée described feeling upset about leaving the set, and shared a strange incident that added to his disappointment. In an interview with CNN on February 24th, he explained that he found a large, unpleasant mess in the toilet of his trailer bathroom. He felt it was a disrespectful act and wondered who would do something like that, even acknowledging he wasn’t the main actor in the film.

Completely surprised, the 30-year-old asked several crew members—even those in charge of the equipment—if someone had intentionally put it in his trailer, but nobody admitted to it. He then went to director Christopher Nolan, who identified Matthew as the person responsible.

Timothée playfully remembered Matthew having a mischievous grin. When Timothée asked him why he’d done something, Matthew jokingly replied, ‘It’s just part of growing up in Texas, man!’

He shared that Matthew McConaughey – who has three children, Levi (17), Livingston (15), and Vida (12), with his wife Camila Alves – called the experience a memorable “souvenir.”

Despite a slightly unpleasant practical joke played on him, Timothée always looks back fondly on his time working on Interstellar. He was just 17 when he got the part, and he’s still amazed that he started his film career acting with a seasoned professional like Matthew.

He told his former co-star that he always considered that movie the moment he realized how dedicated and professional they were on set. He explained that it’s tough to feel mature and focused right after high school, and it’s easy to feel like you’re not using your time well.

But instead, this opportunity fulfilled Timothée as an aspiring actor.  

Timothée Chalamet shared that meeting Matthew had a profound impact on his life, adding, “I really appreciate you being so kind to me then, especially since you didn’t have to be.” He also revealed that his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, gave him a special birthday gift in December: a screening of his favorite movie, Interstellar. Although he loved the gesture, he admitted he felt a bit anxious beforehand.

He jokingly admitted he was in a bad mood during the drive because he didn’t know where his friend was taking him. He remembered thinking, ‘It’s my birthday, why are we driving so far from L.A.?’ But as soon as he got to the theater, he apologized for his grumpiness – he was excited to see the movie!

Kim thought for a moment and then said, ‘Honestly, I’d probably eat something awful if someone promised it would make me look younger – even if it meant eating a bowl of poop every day.’

Honestly, I was so curious about how much she could actually eat! She told the reporter she might manage a bite, but definitely wasn’t up for a full bowl. It was sweet, and a little heartbreaking, to hear her admit she just didn’t have the appetite for more.

During an April 2025 interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the singer of “Save Me” shared a particularly embarrassing story, and he didn’t hesitate to tell all the details.

“I pooped myself one time,” he admitted. “I did, I’m sorry.”

To be honest, Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord) didn’t intend to cause such serious harm.

Honestly, I really believed he was just playing it up, acting like everything was fine. But then he admitted he was wrong, and it broke my heart. Seeing the crowd turn on him like that – going from cheering him on to completely losing faith – was awful. He seemed so lost and genuinely sorry for whatever happened.
