Titus Welliver, known for his role in Bosch, will appear in the acclaimed Western series produced by Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin. The show has been well-received by critics and is coming back for a fourth season.
The popular AMC series is returning with its original cast, as well as some new actors, including Timothy Welliver. Over the summer, a photo surfaced showing Welliver in a prisoner’s uniform and shackles, hinting at his new role. A recently released video from the set confirms Welliver will play Dominic McNair, a character who appears to be an antagonist.
A new 20-second video offers a first look at the upcoming season, officially introducing actor Graham Welliver and bringing back stars Zahn McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, and Jessica Matten. The returning cast hint at a season filled with exciting and dramatic events.
In a behind-the-scenes video, actor Dean Welliver described filming some really tough scenes with Zahn McClarnon, warning viewers they’re quite intense. He jokingly finished by saying, “You won’t want to miss it!”
For the past ten years, Titus Welliver has been known for playing a detective in the Bosch universe on Prime Video. He starred as the main character in the original Bosch series, which ran from 2014 to 2021, and reprised his role in the follow-up, Bosch: Legacy. He most recently appeared in a different series starring Maggie Q.
Titus Welliver Returns to Westerns
Though Welliver is known for playing a detective in Los Angeles, he actually has a lot of experience in Westerns. He was a key part of the popular show Deadwood, playing Silas Adams for two seasons. Now, with Dark Winds, he’s returning to the genre.
But the George R.R. Martin project isn’t Welliver’s only upcoming work. Nineteen years after Deadwood finished, he’s already landed a part in a new crime drama where he’ll be acting alongside J.K. Simmons and Tom Brittney.
Dark Winds Season 4 premieres on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 9 p.m. on AMC and AMC+.
