Japan’s Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association just released a short video previewing Tokyo Game Show 2026, following a recent hint of an upcoming announcement. The 15-second teaser confirms that this year’s event will be held from September 17th to the 21st. You can watch the teaser below.

I’m so hyped for Tokyo Game Show 2026! They’re saying it’s going to be the biggest one yet – five whole days of non-stop gaming fun to celebrate the show’s 30th anniversary. And the teaser video’s art is gorgeous, all thanks to the amazing illustrator Zashikiwarashi!

The organizers of the event have announced the first group of social media influencers, called “TGS BOOSTERZ,” who will be helping to promote Tokyo Game Show 2026. This initial group includes Junpei Zaki, Taizo Zaki, Kayane, Eriza Freya, and Shao Dow.

Businesses interested in showcasing their work at the event must submit their applications by May 22nd. After that date, we will no longer accept submissions.

This year, we’ve increased the number of companies that can exhibit by redesigning the exhibition floor plan and spreading out the larger booths to make better use of the space, according to the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association.

We’re inviting not only gaming enthusiasts and industry experts, but also journalists and key influencers from around the world. This will give our exhibitors a fantastic chance to showcase their products to a global audience.

We don’t yet know which big companies will be at Tokyo Game Show 2026, but rumors are circulating about potential game reveals, including the highly awaited Kingdom Hearts 4.

The company declared Tokyo Game Show 2025 a success, reporting a total of 263,101 visitors over its four days. The first two days were dedicated to industry professionals and attracted 52,352 and 54,779 attendees, respectively. The final two days, open to the general public, drew 77,415 and 78,555 visitors.

Tokyo Game Show 2025 was a huge success, according to the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association. The event broke previous attendance records with 1,136 exhibitors representing 47 countries and regions.

According to the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association, business activity at TGS 2025 was strong, with attendees scheduling 3,591 meetings. The event also included 21 streamed programs shared on official social media channels like YouTube, Twitch, and X.

The Tokyo Game Show is traditionally dominated by Japanese game companies, but Western developers occasionally use the event to reveal new games. Last year, Microsoft showcased Forza Horizon 6, which is set in Japan. The show also featured games from major Japanese developers like Konami, Koei Tecmo, Sega, Capcom, and Square Enix.
