Ken Kaneki, a student who usually prefers books over socializing, generally tries to stay solitary, more so with the surge of ghoul-related criminal activities. After all, in a world where man-eating creatures that resemble humans might be lurking everywhere, isn’t it natural to be cautious? However, when he lands a date with the captivating Rize Kamishiro, he can’t resist the chance. Unfortunately, his date turns out to be a ghoul, leading to a struggle for survival that night. The subsequent life-saving surgery transforms Ken into a ghoul himself. Will Ken manage to fit in this unusual, often overlooked society, or will it consume him entirely?
