Tom Hiddleston has hinted he might join the next season of The Celebrity Traitors, and shared whether he’d prefer to play as a Traitor or a Faithful.
As a big reality TV fan, I was so excited when the UK launched its first VIP version back in October, and honestly, it totally blew everyone away! The ratings were incredible – way higher than anything they’d seen before with the show. It was a massive hit!
Tom Hiddleston, while chatting on BBC Radio 2 with Richie Anderson, expressed his enthusiasm for the show, calling it “completely compulsive” and possibly “the best television I’ve ever seen.” He specifically mentioned he’d love to be a contestant on the celebrity version, praising the show’s format as incredibly clever.
The actor, currently starring in season two of The Night Manager, shared that he’d prefer to play a ‘Faithful’ character. He explained this is because those roles allow him to act as a detective, with the added benefit of knowing his character has a clear conscience and good intentions – simply observing and trying to understand others.
He explained that playing the role of a Traitor is essentially an acting challenge. It’s a game where you have to constantly mislead others by hiding your true intentions and, ultimately, lying.
It’s an interesting idea, but I’m not sure. I think exploring the role of a Faithful would be more about satisfying my curiosity than anything else.
