Exciting new artwork for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day comic reveals a highly anticipated team-up between Spider-Man, the Punisher, and the Hulk, with a possible fourth hero also joining the mix. Given the massive success of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expectations are very high for this new comic’s down-to-earth, street-level storyline.
Following the epic team-up in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the next Spider-Man movie will essentially restart Peter Parker’s story within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it won’t be a complete fresh start, as familiar faces from other MCU films will also appear. The new movie will feature Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Jon Bernthal as Punisher, and fans are eagerly awaiting a first glimpse of these characters in action.
Instagram artist @axellmejiart created artwork showing a possible scene between Spider-Man, the Punisher, and the Hulk, inspired by the ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ storyline.
This fan art features updated costumes for Spider-Man and the Punisher, based on looks from recent set photos of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Punisher special. The Hulk appears as his classic, powerful self, and is expected to return in a 2026 Marvel movie. In the background, you can see Charlie Cox as Daredevil, though it hasn’t been officially confirmed if he’ll be in the film.
What Role Could The Punisher & Hulk Play In Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
As a huge Marvel fan, I’m still wondering how they’ll bring Hulk and Punisher into Peter Parker’s story! But honestly, both characters feel like natural next steps for Spider-Man. After everything that happened in No Way Home, Peter really prioritized being Spider-Man over his personal life, and the Punisher’s done that for ages – it feels like a direction Peter’s heading in, and I’m excited to see how it plays out.
Frank Castle represents a possible, grim future for Peter if he keeps focusing on vengeance. The Punisher feels right at home in a gritty, street-level story alongside villains like Tombstone and Scorpion. Meanwhile, Bruce Banner found strength by integrating his two sides, and Mark Ruffalo’s version of the Hulk could be exactly what Peter needs to achieve a similar sense of balance.
When Will We Get The First Trailer For Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

The fan-made artwork is building anticipation for the first trailer of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While Marvel and Sony haven’t announced a release date for the footage, a special event seems like the most likely place to reveal it. A December 2025 release is looking less probable because four trailers for Avengers: Doomsday will be shown in theaters alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash.
As a huge Marvel fan, it seems a little odd to me that they dropped the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer now. It feels like they’re intentionally keeping the focus on the next Avengers film, so a bigger splash for this trailer would’ve been at a major event. I’m thinking the Super Bowl – February 8th, 2026 – would have been perfect! Until then, all the fan art popping up is definitely helping to build the hype, and I’m living for it!
