Tomb Raider 1-3 Remaster Team Says New Outfits Aren’t AI, Promises Fixes for Disastrous Update

Aspyr Media has responded to concerns about new outfits added to the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection, assuring players that none of the costumes were created using artificial intelligence.

In a social media post, the developers said their artists created the new skins, but acknowledged that the recent update caused some texture problems and bugs. Fixing these issues is now their main focus, and they’re working to release a solution as quickly as possible.

A recent update intended as a nice surprise for fans of the remastered PlayStation 1 classics has been met with strong criticism from the Tomb Raider community. While the new Challenge Mode was offered for free, many players believe the content, including the bonus outfits, actually detracts from the overall game experience.

Aspyr Media is now requesting players to report any bugs or glitches they find. A common problem since the update is that textures are sometimes replaced with incorrect ones – for instance, one player reported seeing a passport photo appear where a bridge should be.
