Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will now release on February 10, 2027, as Amazon accidentally revealed earlier today. The delay from this year is worth it, though – a new trailer shows off beautiful environments and exciting movement mechanics, suggesting the game will be something truly special.
The story begins with Lara in the snowy mountains of Peru, battling an opponent. She falls from a bridge and desperately tries to climb back up using a pickaxe. Eventually, she discovers a tomb, skillfully avoiding spear traps and then fighting off a bear. The action then shifts to a warmer, but equally perilous, location as she works to unlock another tomb.
Okay, so Lara’s seriously good at fighting – she’s amazing with guns and stealthy takedowns. But even she can’t really handle dinosaurs! There’s this incredible chase scene with a huge T-Rex – seriously, it’s terrifying! – and we even see some raptors later. Then, just when you think it’s over, she’s running through a building that’s falling apart! It’s just another crazy day for Lara Croft, honestly.
Besides the regular version, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is also available in Deluxe and Collector’s Editions. If you get either of those, you’ll be able to start playing 48 hours early. Everyone who pre-orders any edition of the game will receive the Survivor Outfit as a free bonus.
