Moon Studios has revealed a new trailer for their action RPG, No Rest for the Wicked, and announced it will officially launch on PC and PlayStation 5 in October. Currently, there are no plans to release the game on Xbox Series X/S or Nintendo Switch 2. You can watch the new trailer below.
The new trailer for No Rest for the Wicked mainly highlights the game’s story and reveals that the 1.0 release will include its final chapter. It also offers a glimpse of gameplay footage captured on PlayStation 5 and beautifully demonstrates the game’s distinctive art style, which combines unsettling scenes with exaggerated character and creature designs.
The recent announcement that No Rest for the Wicked is coming to PS5 follows comments made by Moon Studios CEO and creative director Thomas Mahler in July 2025 regarding possible console releases for the game. Mahler stated that the PS5, along with the potential Nintendo Switch 2, seemed like the most logical platforms for the RPG.
Considering the current gaming market, we’re initially planning to launch the game on PlayStation 5 and possibly the new Switch. We still need to talk with Microsoft to figure out the best approach for Xbox.
Mahler clarified that his previous comments on social media weren’t a formal announcement. He explained he was just brainstorming which gaming consoles could potentially support a version of No Rest for the Wicked.
We haven’t made any official announcements yet,” he shared. “We’re planning to release the game on consoles, and based on current data, the PlayStation 5 seems like the best place to start. We expect to launch on all platforms eventually, but probably not all at once!”
