Top Boy and Day of the Jackal stars feature in exclusive first look at “edge-of-your-seat” new thriller series

Get ready for Hit Point, a thrilling new series starring Nick Blood and Saffron Hocking! TopMob has an exclusive first look you won’t want to miss.

Written by Howard Overman, the creator of Misfits, this new show is set to deliver thrilling action, intense drama, and a captivating story. It will be available on U and U&Dave this summer.

I’m really excited about this new show! It stars Blood and Hocking – you might recognize them from ‘Day of the Jackal’ and ‘Top Boy’ – as detectives named Leo and Bella. They’re both around thirty, and their latest investigation throws them right into the gritty criminal world of West London. It looks intense!

The search for truth quickly complicates their lives, mixing personal feelings with work. According to an official preview, this will lead to strained friendships, revealed secrets, and a potentially risky romance.

A new trailer and first-look images have been released, revealing a thrilling chase scene between Leo and Bella and a group of masked figures. It’s initially unclear who is pursuing whom.

The video takes another surprising turn when Leo is unmasked. You can watch the clip to see it for yourself!

Last August, UKTV announced a new series, described by drama commissioning head Helen Perry as a unique police show. She highlighted that the show, created by Howard, is a gripping crime thriller with a compelling central romance. It blends genres in a fresh way, offering a mix of emotion, comedy, and exciting action.

This new drama is a first for U&Dave and U, representing our commitment to creating high-quality scripted shows for the channel.

Overman also said the team at Urban Myth Films is thrilled to be working with UKTV on ‘Hit Point.’ They enjoyed making a show that combines exciting action with warmth, comedy, and a central love story.

He also said the team of experienced professionals is doing a fantastic job bringing the story of Leo and Bella to life, and he’s excited for audiences to experience all the unexpected moments and surprises the story holds.

Besides playing Vince Pyne in The Day of the Jackal, Blood is also recognized for his work on television series like Agents of SHIELD, Euphoria, Slow Horses, and Joan.

Jasmine Hocking is widely recognized for playing Lauryn Lawrence in the series Top Boy. She’s also appeared in Moon Knight, Riches, Peacock, and The Devil’s Hour.
