Tristan Thompson‘s son is starting off third grade in style.
The basketball star shared an uncommon glimpse of his 8-year-old son, Prince Thompson (born with Jordan Craig), during their first day at school. He did so by posting a video capturing their special morning moments on social media.
On August 14, while filming a selfie video with his phone inside the car and planning to post it on Instagram, Tristan asked his son, “Aren’t you seated up front today?
Afterward, the scene shifts to show Prince strolling toward school while his dad poses queries about his upcoming academic milestone.
Tristan asks in the video, “Are you going to school?” His question leads to, “So there you are! A big third-grader now. What’s something you look forward to in third grade?
Prince, without any delay, informs his father, who shares True (7), and Tatum (3) with Khloe Kardashian, as well as Theo (3) with Maralee Nichols, that he is eager to utilize a laptop for his studies.
“Getting the Chromebook,” he shares, “because you can bring them home and bring them to school.”
Prince expresses his excitement to his father, mentioning that now he anticipates receiving awards since there weren’t any during his second-grade years. One award category he is particularly eager for at school involves winning Mr. Beast collectibles.
The video concludes with the father-son pair climbing up the stairs, heading towards Prince’s school entrance. At this point, Tristan queries if Prince knows where he should go now that his classroom has been relocated within the school. Without hesitation, Prince indicates the location where he used to attend kindergarten.
Tristan recently shared an endearing message about Prince, which follows closely on the heels of his birthday celebration where he posted a seldom-seen photo featuring him with siblings Prince and True, as well as their cousin Dream Kardashian. The latter is the child of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna.
In a recent Instagram post on July 30th, the user aged 34 affectionately wrote, “Lots of warm embraces and pecks for my cherished little Tatum on his birthday!” Translated: “I love you eternally, my timeless prince.
