Tubi is now offering a lot more cartoons! Starting in March, the streaming service added hundreds of classic shows from Cartoon Network. However, while Tubi plans to add even more Cartoon Network content in May, it will also be removing a popular movie from the 1990s that was recently added in April.
If you want to watch The Rugrats Movie on Tubi, you’ll need to do it soon! This animated film, originally released in 1998, brought the popular ‘90s TV show about Tommy Pickles and his friends to the big screen. It was a huge hit, earning $140 million worldwide and becoming the first non-Disney animated movie to make over $100 million domestically. The Rugrats Movie arrived on Tubi on April 1st, but it’s already been announced that it will be leaving the platform soon, although a specific date hasn’t been given.
The Rugrats Movie Is a High-Stakes Adventure for the Iconic Nickelodeon Babies
The Rugrats Movie wasn’t just a box office hit; it perfectly translated the popular Rugrats series to the big screen, becoming a classic Nickelodeon film. Set between seasons five and six of the show, the movie follows Tommy Pickles as he adjusts to his new baby brother, Dil. When Tommy wants to ‘return’ Dil to the hospital, he and his friends embark on a crazy adventure in the Reptar Wagon, getting lost in the woods and facing challenges like circus monkeys and a wolf as they try to find their way back home.
The Rugrats Movie is a fun, action-packed adventure that takes the babies way beyond their usual backyard explorations. Everything looks huge and scary from their toddler’s point of view! While the movie is a bit more adventurous than the TV show, it still has the same funny, baby-talk dialogue and humor we all love. It’s also a sweet story about Tommy learning to be a big brother and accepting his little brother, Dil, even though he’s initially jealous. Plus, the movie is full of fun references to popular movies and TV shows like Bambi, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and The Fugitive, and features cameos from celebrities like David Spade, Whoopi Goldberg, and Busta Rhymes.
Where to Stream The Rugrats Movie After It Leaves Tubi?
If you enjoy The Rugrats Movie, it’s leaving Tubi soon, but you can still watch it on Paramount+. Along with the movie, Paramount+ also has the Rugrats sequels (Rugrats in Paris: The Movie and Rugrats Go Wild – which combined with The Wild Thornberrys), all nine seasons of the original show, and the All Grown Up! series.
