Two classic Sega Genesis games from the 1990s are coming to the Nintendo Switch, along with some retro PC Engine titles. Before the PlayStation and Xbox competition, Sega and Nintendo were the biggest rivals in the gaming world. This meant many of the most popular early console games were only available on Sega systems. Now, as companies tap into gamers’ love for the past, more people are getting a chance to play these classic Sega games, and the Genesis titles are proving especially popular.
Playasia is releasing a physical collection of classic games called Telenet Shooting Collection I + II, featuring six PC Engine titles and two Sega Genesis games. Pre-orders begin on April 2nd, and the collection is expected to ship between April and June of 2026. The games included are the Sega Genesis titles Granada and Gaiares (both from 1990), and the PC Engine games Avenger, Legion, Final Zone II, Psychic Storm, Kiaidan 00, and Browning (all released between 1990 and 1992). This collection is a Playasia exclusive and is only available on the Nintendo Switch – though it is playable on the upcoming Switch 2 thanks to backward compatibility.

Standard and Limited Editions
Nintendo hasn’t announced the price of this retro collection for Switch owners yet, and pre-orders aren’t available. However, it will come in two versions: a standard physical copy, and a limited edition that includes extra collectibles, as shown in the image.
I’ve been following the Telenet Shooting Collection games for a while now, and it’s awesome to see them finally putting both Collection I (which came to Switch in 2023 and PC in 2025) and Collection II (on Switch 2 since 2025) together in one package! It’s the first time they’ve ever released them like this, and I’m really excited about it.
