Paramount+ is home to many popular Nickelodeon animated series. However, like with all streaming services, content doesn’t always stay available forever. Recently, Paramount+ removed the popular show ‘As Told By Ginger,’ and it appears more Nickelodeon shows are being taken off the platform. Starting the new year, two classic series from the channel have been unexpectedly removed, and many fans are surprised by which ones.
This year, both Kablam! and Action League Now have been removed from Paramount+. Interestingly, Action League Now—the show featuring stop-motion action figure superheroes—originally began as a segment within Kablam!. It appeared in fifty-one segments of the anthology series before getting its own show on Nickelodeon, which only lasted twelve episodes. Unlike many other shows from that era, neither Kablam! nor Action League Now have been revived, and it doesn’t look like they will be anytime soon.
What Was Kablam?

If you’re not familiar with Kablam!, it was a show that originally aired on Nickelodeon from 1996 to 2000. Hosted by the animated characters Henry and June, each episode featured a variety of different segments that felt like shows themselves. Some popular segments included Prometheus and Bob, Angela Anaconda, and Action League Now, all of which used unique animation styles to tell their stories. Sadly, Paramount+ hasn’t said if Kablam! or Action League Now will be available to watch anywhere else, and because they were never released on DVD or Blu-ray, it might be hard to find them in the future.
The recent deal between Paramount and Skydance could lead to further changes for the company. While a merger between Paramount and Warner Bros Discovery now seems unlikely – which is good news for fans of Nickelodeon – Paramount+ still plans to release fresh animated shows inspired by classic Nick programs, even after some older shows leave the service.
Paramount is ending 2025 by releasing the live-action The Last Airbender movie directly on streaming, skipping theaters. In addition to this new film featuring an adult Aang, Paramount+ will also be the home of Avatar: Seven Havens, an animated series exploring the world of bending with a new Avatar after Korra. With plans for two more Avatar movies in development, Nickelodeon continues to support animated storytelling within the franchise.
