You’ve got to give credit to French publisher Ubisoft: it really does support its games.
Even though fans are still hoping for news about a Bloodborne update, Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 3: Classic Edition will be upgraded to run at 60 frames per second on the PlayStation 5, and they plan to do more upgrades in the future.
This week, Ubisoft hinted on X (formerly Twitter) that Far Cry 3: Classic Edition, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Classic, and Far Cry Primal will all receive updates to run at 60 frames per second thanks to backwards compatibility.
Now that a free update has been announced for Far Cry 3: Classic Edition, arriving on January 21st, we expect similar updates for the other games in the series will be announced soon.
Honestly, I’ve played a ton of games, but I always appreciate it when developers go back and improve older titles with quality-of-life updates. Big props to Ubisoft for actually caring about the games they’ve already released – it’s awesome to see!
