Victoria Beckham wants her kids to follow their dreams. 

With her son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham currently distanced from the family, the fashion designer – who shares Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14, with her husband David Beckham – has been thinking about raising her children under public scrutiny and how she approaches parenting.

Victoria, 52, explained on the May 5th episode of the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast that raising adult children is very different from raising younger ones. She added that she’s simply doing her best as a parent.

I want my children to reach their full potential and be happy,” she explained. “I constantly push them to set ambitious goals and then surpass even those.

Although Victoria Beckham encourages her children to use their platform to make a positive impact, she and David prioritize letting them pursue their own interests and don’t push them to achieve anything beyond what they’re passionate about.

Victoria said they don’t push their children to achieve specific goals. They simply want their kids to pursue their passions, put in effort, and ultimately be happy.

I was so fascinated to hear Victoria Beckham talk about how different things are for her son Cruz as a musician compared to her own start in the industry. She pointed out that even though she also began in music, his path is totally unique and doesn’t follow the same rules. It’s really interesting to see how much the music world has changed!

He plays in a band – they make alternative music,” she explained. “But what counts as success when you’re just starting out is really different than what it meant to me with the Spice Girls.

As his mom, my role is simply to support and encourage him in any way I can. It’s about being there for him, not pushing him to do anything he doesn’t want to do,” Victoria explained.

Victoria Beckham shared that family closeness is the most important thing to her family, and that open communication is essential for them.

While not a strict requirement, many people expected Nicola Peltz Beckham to wear a wedding dress designed by her future mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, when she married Brooklyn Beckham in April 2022. The wedding took place at Nicola’s family’s estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

So when she didn’t, going with Valentino Couture instead… Bad blood alert!

Nicola remained silent about the issue for months, but eventually confirmed there wasn’t any conflict regarding a dress. She did hint at some disappointment, though, as she learned she wouldn’t be able to wear a custom design by Victoria Beckham.

Shortly after Brooklyn Beckham shared a statement on Instagram, DJ Fat Tony – who provided the music at his wedding to Nicola – shared his take on their first dance, or rather, the fact that they didn’t have one.

According to Brooklyn’s story, Marc brought what he considered the most beautiful woman in the room onstage for a dance, but instead of calling out Nicola’s name, he said Victoria’s. Tony reported on ITV January 23rd that Brooklyn was heartbroken, as he’d expected to share his first dance with his wife. Nicola then left the room in tears.

Oh my god, Tony was telling me about this incredible moment! Apparently, during the performance, Marc Anthony just randomly told someone to go feel their mother’s hips! Can you believe it?! It was this whole cultural thing, super Latin, and Tony said it made everyone so uncomfortable. I tried to find out if Marc had anything to say about it, but his people totally ghosted me. Seriously, ghosted! It was amazing and awful all at once, I’m obsessed!

During an event hosted by The Wall Street Journal in West Palm Beach, Florida on February 3, 2026, Nicola’s father, Nelson, responded to questions about recent media attention on his family. He jokingly said, “Have we been in the news lately? I honestly haven’t seen it.”

Nelson didn’t want to go into specifics, but he did say his daughter and the Beckhams have a special relationship. He added that his daughter and her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, are doing well, and he wishes them a lifetime of happiness together.

Chef Gordon Ramsay, a close friend of David and Victoria Beckham, publicly shared his thoughts on the situation several weeks after their son Brooklyn’s social media post.
