2025 is proving to be a great year for video games, and a new hit title is emerging. AdHoc Studio announced on Monday that their story-driven superhero game, Dispatch, has already sold over a million copies in just ten days after its release.
What’s really remarkable is that the game isn’t fully available yet. Dispatch is being released in parts, with two new episodes coming out each week until all eight are ready to play.
With four episodes released so far, it’s impressive that Dispatch has already sold a million copies, especially since half of the game is still on the way.
Dispatch plays a lot like the story-driven games made by Telltale Games, and that’s no accident – many of the developers at AdHoc Studio used to work at the original Telltale. Although AdHoc initially collaborated with the reformed Telltale on The Wolf Among Us 2, Dispatch is a project they’ve developed and released completely on their own.
Currently, Dispatch isn’t playable on Xbox Series X|S or the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. However, you can find it on PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam.
I’m eager to check it out, and I hope it comes to Xbox in the future

Dispatch takes place in a world full of superheroes. Players take on the role of Robert, a former hero known as Mecha Man, who now manages a team of heroes. He sends them out to handle crimes while also navigating his personal struggles.
I’ll be honest, I first noticed Dispatch because so many games came out in October. But recently, I’ve been hearing great things about it – and the hero Invisigal definitely piqued my interest! – so I decided to buy it and see what it’s all about.
I’ve played a lot of Telltale games, and The Wolf Among Us is definitely my favorite. If this new game has a similar feel, I think it’s going to be really enjoyable.
As a big fan, I’m really hoping we get a version of Dispatch on Xbox soon! I don’t mind buying a game on multiple platforms if it’s great, and honestly, it feels like Dispatch is quickly becoming *the* game to play in this genre – it would be a real shame for Xbox players to miss out.
