VMAs: When Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s Kids Can See Jersey Shore

Here’s the situation with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s kids.

On September 7th, 2025, at the MTV Video Music Awards held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York and hosted by LL Cool J, the reality TV star and his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, discussed the age when their children, Romeo (4 years old), Mia (2 years old), and Luna (12 months), will be permitted to watch MTV programming.

In the exclusive interview with TopMob News, Mike expressed his hope that it might be eighteen, but he admitted his suspicion that they could manage to slip past it.

The 43-year-old and his spouse, who exchanged vows in 2018, find it effortless to harmonize with each other, as indicated. (Here’s a look at all the glamorous outfits from the 2025 MTV VMAs red carpet.)

Mike went on saying, ‘We enjoy watching it because it’s amusing.’ He also shared that he and his group are fans of the series, but he has some reservations about the flashbacks from its initial season – however, they do tune in for the latest episodes.

The creator of the “G.T.L.” phrase might attribute the enduring appeal of the show to its lasting impact, as it catapulted personalities like Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, DJ Pauly D, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Angelina Pivarnick, Vinney Guadagnino, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro into mainstream recognition-even fifteen years post its inception.

Mike expressed that everyone within the group is genuine, adding that the fans have essentially grown alongside them, forming a bond reminiscent of familial ties. He found this relationship incredibly charming and expressed heartfelt gratitude for their connection.

Apart from expressing his gratitude towards the fans of “Jersey Shore,” the reality television personality is also grateful for his transition from fame to fatherhood.

In a more conversational tone: The reality TV star, who’s known for being on “Jersey Shore,” is not just thankful for his fans but also for his incredible journey that led him from stardom to becoming a father.

Mike confessed to People magazine in August 2023, ‘I’ll be straight with you. It feels great to have reached this point.’ He added, ‘I was quite reckless in my twenties and thirties, but look at me now – eight years sober by December, a father of two, married for five years in a stable, content marriage. I’m truly thriving.’
